Sim Balkey has a distinctive voice, which quite simply, doesn’t sound like anyone else in country music today. There’s an edgy intensity that brings out the best in every song whether it’s a vulnerable ballad or uptempo party anthem. Balkey infuses lyrics with a warmth and authority that draws the listener into every song and makes it memorable.

Sim was born and raised on a small farm near Abiquiu, New Mexico about an hour south of the Colorado border. His country roots shine through as his heart-felt vocals and lyrics paint a picture of pain, love, and the struggle between.

Sim is currently playing 80-120 shows annually. With an ever expanding tour schedule, he can be found playing a large range of venues such as concerts, music festivals, clubs, and even more intimate acoustic settings such as Nashville venues The Bluebird Cafe and 3rd and Lindsley..

Sim has shared the stage with many great artists in the industry such as Eric Church, Sara Evans, Clint Black, Love and Theft, Aaron Watson and will continue to share the stage with artists such as these for the remainder of 2016; currently scheduled with Chris Young, Parmalee, The Mavericks, and Asleep at the Wheel.

Beyond collaborations, Sim will be headlining many shows throughout the Southwest and beyond with original material that is relatable and most definitely high energy; just the kind of music that is sure to provide the perfect backdrop for great times!
